Itinerary
Day 1 – Monday
/ Arrival Calgary (D)
Upon arrival at Calgary International Airport group is met in the arrival area.
Direct transfer on chartered vehicle with driver-guide to the hotel. Overnight
at the 3* Sandman Hotel Calgary City Centre in Standard Rooms.
Day 2 – Tuesday
/ Calgary – Banff (B,L,D)
Full breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning short city tour on chartered vehicle with driver-guide showing
the most important sites such as Stampede Grounds, downtown core, Eau Claire
Market, Chinatown, Bow Valley, Fort Calgary and Calgary Tower.
Continue to Banff which will be reached in 1 ½ hours for a sightseeing tour
through the town of Banff and its environs. They will see amongst others the
Hoodoos, Surprise Corner, Bow Falls, Banff Springs Hotel, Sulphur Mountain
(admission included), Lake Minnewanka and Tunnel Mountain Drive. Lunch included
at the restaurant on top of Sulphur Mountain in optional meal package. Coach use
max.10 hrs.
Overnight at the 3.5* Banff Caribou Lodge in Run of House Rooms.
Day 3 – Wednesday
/ Banff – Jasper (B,LD)
Full breakfast at the hotel.
Early morning departure on chartered vehicle with driver-guide to Lake Louise
and from there on the most scenic highway in the Rocky Mountains, the Icefield
Parkway. Stops will be made en route at Bow and Peyto Lake before a short detour
is made to Rocky Mountain House for a 20 minutes Cline Glacier Explorer Tour by
helicopter. Continue to Columbia Icefield for a ride with the Ice Explorer,
lunch en route included in optional meal package. Further stops on the way to
Jasper at Athabasca and Sunwapta Falls, time permitting. Coach use: max. 10
hours. Overnight at 3* Marmot Lodge in Standard Rooms.
Day 4 – Thursday
/ Jasper (B,L,D)
Full breakfast at the hotel.
Today’s full day excursion on chartered vehicle with driver-guide will first
lead to Maligne Canyon for a short walk alongside the gorge. Continue to
Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake. Return to Jasper for a tour of town, explore
Patricia and Pyramid Lake, lunch included at Papa George’s in optional meal
package. Coach use: max. 10 hours. Overnight at 3* Marmot Lodge in Standard
Rooms.
Day 5 – Friday
/ Departure Jasper (B/L,D)
Early morning transfer on chartered vehicle to the rail station for the rail
journey on board of the Rocky Mountaineer in Red Leaf Class. Leaving Jasper
National Park behind the train travels the Yellowhead Route past the sprawling
grandeur of Mount Robson, the highest peak of the Canadian Rockies and follows
the mighty Thompson River before arriving in Kamloops.
Breakfast and are included on board of the train. Gold Leaf Class. (surcharge
listed) Also includes snacks and beverages on board. Dinner Show “Rhythms of the
Rails”. Overnight at a moderate hotel in Kamloops as part of the Rocky
Mountaineer package.
Day 6 – Saturday
/ Kamloops - Vancouver (B/L.D)
Leaving Kamloops behind early morning the train follows the Thompson River
through Rainbow Canyon and further on to Fraser Canyon where at Hells Gate you
can watch water torrent past the canyon walls at is narrowest point. The last
leg of the journey leads through the fertile farming region of the Fraser Valley
to arrive in Vancouver late afternoon. Breakfast and lunch are included on board
of the train, Gold Leaf Class (surcharge listed) also includes snacks and
beverages.
Transfer on chartered vehicle to the hotel. Overnight at the Sandman Suites on
Davie (***) in One Bedroom Suites.
Day 7 – Sunday
/ Departure Vancouver (B,L,D)
Full breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast group departs on chartered vehicle with driver-guide on a half
day city tour of Vancouver showing sites such as English Bay, Stanley Park,
Canada Place, Gastown, Chinatown, Lions Gate Bridge, Granville Island and Robson
Street. The tour ends at the cruise ship terminal for embarkation on Alaska
cruise.

Day 8 - 13 Cruise
Vancouver, British Columbia, Inside Passage, Icy Strait Point, Hubbard
Glacier, Juneau, Ketchikan, Vancouver
Day 14 – Sunday
/ Arrival and Departure Vancouver
Meet & greet at cruise ship terminal and departure on chartered vehicle with
driver-guide to North Vancouver. Here group boards the gondola for the elevation
high up Grouse Mountain for a breathtaking view over Vancouver, Howe Sound and
Burrard Inlet. On the way back to Vancouver visit Capilano Canyon and Suspension
Bridge with Treetop Walk. Continue to Vancouver International Airport for
check-in with the airline. Coach use based on maximum 7 hours.
