PERU

Day 1 - London – LIMA - D
Upon arrival in Lima, reception and transfer to the hotel with local English speaking escort. Accommodation at Jose Antonio Executive Hotel 4* for 1 night. Standard room. Buffet Breakfast
Colonial and Modern Lima (3 hours) Private Services
Visit the Cathedral, Main Square, San Francisco Convent and its Catacombs, the residential areas of San Isidro, Miraflores, the new commercial area south of Lima, and the ocean front to enjoy a magnificent view of the Pacific Ocean. (the Cathedral is closed on Sundays). Menu Dinner at Rosa Náutica Restaurant. Transfer to and from the hotel  the hotel with local English speaking guide.
 
Day 2 - LIMA –AREQUIPA - BLD
Morning transfer to Lima’s airport to take Lan Peru’s flight to Arequipa. Reception at airport and transfer to hotel. Accommodation at El Cabildo Hotel 4* for 1 night, Standard room. American Breakfast.
City Tour and Santa Catalina Convent (3 Hours) in Private Services
AM. Visit the old district of San Lazaro and Carmen Alto. General view of the city from the Yanahuara Belvedere. The Plaza de Armas and its Cathedral, the cloisters of La Compañia Church, the church and square of San Francisco and the extraordinary citadel of the Santa Catalina convent which is built from volcanic lava and dates from the 16th century. Menú Lunch at local restaurant
Visit to the Museum Andean Sanctuaries Juanita, the beautiful girl of Ampato (1 Hour) Private Service
Juanita (also known as "The Ice Maiden") was discovered on the top of Mount Ampato near Arequipa, Peru, in 1995 by Johan Reinhard. She was 12 to 14 years old when she was sacrificed and is believed to have died about 500 years ago. Although she was frozen in the frigid temperatures on Mount Ampato, her body was discovered because a nearby volcano had caused Ampato's snowcap to melt. The undisturbed site of her burial included many items left as offerings to the gods. Two other children's bodies were discovered near her.

Day 3 - AREQUIPA-CUSCO - BLD
Morning transfer to Lima’s airport to take Lan Peru’s flight to Cusco. Transfer from the airport to Novotel Cusco Hotel 4*with local English speaking escort. Accommodation for 1 night, Colonial Room. Buffet Breakfast.
Morning City Tour and Ruins in Cuzco (4 Hours) in Private Service
Guided visit of the city of Cuzco which includes the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Santo Domingo Church or Koricancha. Continue with a visit to the four ruins nearby, the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, overlooking the city of Cuzco, a pre Inca architectural masterpiece; Kenko, a rock sanctuary whose main attraction is a monolithic altar representing a puma, the red Fortress of Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay. Menú Lunch at Restaurant Pacha Papa. Private transportation to/from the restaurant in Cusco with local English speaking guide.
Buffet Dinner with show at Tunupa Cuzco Restaurant. Overnight at Novotel Cuzco.
 
Day 4 - CUSCO-SACRED VALLEY - BLD
Tour to Chinchero, Maras and Ollantaytambo (Full Day) in Private Service
A different way to see the Sacred Valley; visit Chinchero, the salt mines of Maras, where the ancient Inca ways of mining and ritual working traditions are still preserved, and a community whose inhabitants live in cave like houses. Visit the town of Ollantaytambo and its ruins.
Buffet Lunch at Tunupa Valle Sagrado Restaurant, Accommodation at Sonesta Posada del Inca Yucay for 1 night in Standard room. Buffet Breakfast. Menú Dinner at Hotel Sonesta Posada del Inca Yucay 3*.
 
Day 5 - SACRED VALLEY-AGUAS CALIENTES-CUSCO - BLD
Private transportation from Cusco to Urubamba with local English speaking escort. Morning transfer to Ollantaytambo’s train station to take the train to Aguas Calientes at the foot of Machu Picchu (2 hours ride).
Reception at train station and guided tour of the Lost Citadel of the Incas, Machu Picchu, which is totally built of stone blocks, fitted with masterful precision. This fabulous city has houses, temples, warehouses, a large central square, all connected by narrow roads and steps, and is surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side which were used for agriculture. Buffet lunch at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge . Afternoon transfer to the train station to take the train to Ollanta. At Ollanta transfer to Cusco. Reception and transfer to Novotel Cusco Hotel  for overnight for 1 night, Colonial Room. Menu Dinner at Novotel Cusco Hotel.
 
Day 6 - CUSCO-PUNO - BLD
Transfer from the hotel to the rail station in Cusco with local English speaking escort to take the ANDEAN EXPLORER TRAIN (Orient Express) to Puno. Reception and transfer from the rail station to the hotel outside Puno.
 
Train Schedule: November to March: Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays
April to October: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays

A deluxe train decorated in the 1920’s style. The train has a wagon with a bar and an observation deck from where one can enjoy the scenery as well as a restaurant. All wagons have pullman style seats, wide aisles, catering service as well as oxygen available. The wagons are connected to each other by gangway bellows so passengers and crew can go from one another safely. The journey takes approximately 10 hours. Lunch is included. Accommodation at Sonesta Posada del Inca Puno 4* for 2 nights in Standard room. Buffet Breakfast. Menú Dinner at Sonesta Posada del Inca Puno
 
Day 7 - PUNO-TAQUILE-PUNO - BLD
Uros and Taquile Islands, Private Services.
Transfer by bus or car to the port. A short distance by boat from Puno on Lake Titicaca, are the floating islands made of reeds, inhabited by the Uros. They live in huts built on platforms of reeds, not more tha n 30-40 cms/1 foot thick. Short walk on islands. Afterwards continue the boat trip on Lake Titicaca as far as the island of Taquile. Members of this self-supporting Aymara community receive visitors in their colourful national costume and show them around the island. Taquile is renowned for its fine, decorative weavings. Lunch included. In the afternoon return by boat to Puno. Buffet Dinner and overnight at Sonesta Posada del Inca Puno.
 

BOLIVIA
Day 8 - CATAMARAN PUNO TO LA PAZ, BLD. with overnight on board. Shared service.
Early land transfer to Copacabana Sanctuary, to board the Catamaran Cruise Ship, lunch while sailing to Sun Island, the legendary birth place of the Inca Empire where you will have the opportunity of interacting with the local community in Challapampa an unspoiled indigenous village. The visit includes the museum, chapel, school, a typical house and sailing in their own vessel to an Inca holy temple while walking on Inca trails. Candlelit dinner on board in lake view cabins wih private facilities.
 
Day 9 - CATAMARAN SUN ISLAND TO LA PAZ - BLD
Sun Island (Nort side)‑ Sun Island (South side) Inti Wata Complex‑Chua ‑La Paz
The Catamaran Cruise Ship sails across the lake enjoying breakfast and the overwhelming panorama visiting the Pilkokaina Inca Palace then the Inti Wata Cultural Complex including the Ekako Underground Museum, the traditional medicine and the Titikaka Reed Shipbuilders display centres, the Pachamama agricultural Inca terraces, a handicraft centre, the Intica lounge and at the Manco Kapac look out, the largest variety of Andean cameloids. Visit the Inca Garden, steps and the Inca fountain The Complex at Sun Island includes a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka Traditional vessel to enjoy a panoramic visit of the Pilkokaina Inca Palace. Buffet lunch on board while sailing to Chua harbour, land transfer to La Paz City around evening and transfer to Plaza hotel for two nights. Dinner at the hotel.
 
Day 10 - LA PAZ - BLD
HALF DAY CITY TOUR AND VALLEY OF THE MOON
A 4 hour tour of La Paz, including the area of the street markets, rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft artifacts. The tour goes through the colonial part of the city, San Francisco Church, Gold Museum, Murillo Square and the outdoor replica of the Tiahuanaco temple. Then to the modern part of town, dropping down a lot in elevation to finally visit the Valley of the Moon, enjoy all of its natural geological formations. Lunch at local restaurant, dinner and overnight at the hotel Rey Palace..
 
Day 11 - LA PAZ-COLCHANI (B,L,D)
Transfer to the airport to take your flight to Colchani, approx 1 hour. Pick up from the airport to visit the Uyuni Salt Flats and Incahuasi Island. See locals producing salt, enter the great white salt flat, crossing to “Isla Incahuasi” (2 hours), a special habitat of volcanic rocks and giant cactus. Continue to the Mummies of Coquesa in the foothills of the Tunupa volcan. Enjoy a great sunset, overnight at hotel Luna Salada.
 
Day 12 - COLCHANI-LA PAZ  (BLD)
Transfer to the airport to take your flight to La Paz. Transfer to and from hotel for lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Plaza Hotel.
 
Day 13 - LA PAZ
Transfer from the hotel to airport for your return flight (B)
