Itinerary
Day 1 Bangkok - Ko Kret - Wat Bang Na (Mon or Thurs) (L/D)
Pick up from Bangkok hotel to board The Manohra Song which departs from the Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa at 10.00 hrs. Cruise leisurely along the fabled Chao Phya River. Visit the Temple of Dawn or Wat Arun, one of the most remarkable temples in Thailand, and the Royal Barge Museum. Enjoy Thai cuisine prepared by your personal on-board chefs while passing the island of Koh Kret, an island that is populated by the Mon people, one of Thailand's many ethnic minority groups. Relaxe on board before visiting a temple with a chance to feed the fishes – a simple way to gain good luck. Arrive at Wat Bang Na late afternoon. Time at leisure, then a dinner of Thai traditional dishes will be served. After dinner, relax on deck with a glass of wine before retiring to your cabin for the first night on the river.
Day 2 Wat Bang Na – Ayuthaya – Bang Pa In (Tue or Fri) (B/L/D)
An early start to ‘make merit’ with the monks of Wat Bang Na then tour the temple. Your continental breakfast will be served while cruising up the river through the Thai countryside. Recline on a deck and watch the river life float past. After a light Italian lunch, we arrive at Wat Phanancheng. Then transfer to a limousine to Ayutthaya, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Spend your afternoon exploring Ayutthaya with an expert guide. Also a chance to explore some ruins from the back of an elephant. Drive to Bang Pa In to rejoin the Manohra Song. Relax in your private en-suite cabin before enjoying an Ayutthaya-inspired Thai dinner.
Day 3 Bang Pa In - Bangkok (Wed or Sat) (B/L)
