Thailand Travellers Tips:
FLYING TIME: From UK approx 11.5 hrs to Bangkok
TIME: GMT +7 hrs
HEALTH: No compulsory vaccinations required but check with your GP prior to travel.
VISAS: None required for UK passport holders for up to 30 days stay. Passport must be valid at least 6 months after return date.
CURRENCY: Thai Baht (THB). You can withdraw money from Banks and ATMs across Thailand. Currency exchange is available at banks and hotels.
LANGUAGE: Thai is the first language but English is widely spoken.
ELECTRICITY: 220 volts alternating at 50 cycles per second.
WHEN TO GO: Although the climate varies throughout the country you can visit all year round, but the overall best time to travel is during the cool and dry season between November and end of March, when the humidity is lower. The climate in the south of Thailand differs between the eastern and western beaches. The weather in Koh Samui in the east is nicer during our summer months, whereas areas in the west such as Phuket, Krabi and Khao Lak enjoy hot, dry days during our winter and spring.
