Nepal is a fascinating land famous for its snow peaks, Sherpas, yaks, and monasteries.
It is nestled between the high Himalaya and the steamy Indian plains. So, it comes as no surprise that it is well set up for backpackers.
In fact, many cities are set-up to accommodate westers visitors as you are bound to spot countless trekking shops, bakeries and pizzerias around Thamel and Pokhara.
However, to experience the full glory of Nepal, you must venture into the countryside where traditional mountain life continues at a slower pace.
Some of the Himalaya’s most iconic and accessible hiking is on offer here, with rugged trails to Everest, the Annapurnas and beyond.
Further south lie Nepal’s wild national parks, where nature buffs scan the treetops for exotic bird species and comb the jungles for rhinos, tigers and Indian elephants – making it the perfect place to go on safari. If you do pay a visit, be sure to have your camera ready as you are bound to spot stunning animals, sceneries and sunsets as you make your way across this majestic land.
