Tahiti and Her Islands

Tahiti is the highest and largest island in French Polynesia lying close to Moorea island. Tahiti's landscape features lush rainforests and many streams, including the Papenoo River on the north side. The island is composed of two volcanic mountain ranges. In the shape of a 'turtle', it is made of the larger part - Tahiti Nui and the peninsula - Tahiti Iti. The two islands are linked by the isthmus of Taravao and skirted by black beaches.  It is also a popular wedding and  honeymoon destination. Tahiti and her islands are some of the most beautiful in all the south Pacific, hence it is a popular destination for weddings and honeymoons.
